Each year Fred Lanting travels with a group to Germany to watch the annual Sieger Show. It's the last weekend in August first weekend in September.
This Sieger Show is the showcase of the German Shepherd Dog in Germany. People come from all over the world to attend this event. The show starts on Friday as the dogs perform in the working part of the Sieger Show. Than Saturday is judging the younger dogs then up to the titled dogs. Sunday is the wrap of with the showing of the different progeny classes there you can see what dog(s) is producing for type/structure of dog. The crowning of the Sieger and Siegerin is later Sunday afternoon.

Also during the show there are miles of exhibitor booths to view and of course lots of food and refreshments booths. In addiiton you can freely walk around visting the differnt dogs and who knows you might be able to pet and get a picture taken with the Sieger or Siegerin.

Fred Lanting is known the world over for his judging of the German Shepherd Dog, Fred makes his yearly trip to the Sieger Show. He also offers German Shepherd lovers the opportunity to travel along with him to form a group. In doing this the group will get to see the Sieger Show of course, however you will also see much of the area around the Sieger Show . In addition many visits to local German dogs clubs and breeders.

The group covers the cost of Fred's travel and meals in exchange for his ability to book inexpensive hotels, tours of local towns and points of interest as well as tours of dog clubs and German Shepherd Dog breeders.
